Tosha’s Thanksgiving Look

Looking for ideas for that Thanksgiving party you are attending? Well one key factor is comfort…since we will be eating a LOT! We don’t want to wear something tight that will feel restricting. We also want to be cute and feel good about ourselves. I like wearing flowing dresses. That makes you look a little more dressy while still being very comfortable!

Wore shoes that had the coral color as well as other accent colors to add some excitement to this look. The heel is a wedge so it will be comfortable all day.

Monday Moment’s Inside: TrendHim UK

 Blog’s name is TrendHimUK.

Tell us a little bit about your background:

I graduated from the Economy Department.  I was the editor of an advertising and marketing magazine for almost 3 years. I was a freelance writer for various magazines including lifestyle magazines. For the last 4 years I have been the social media content strategist for various brands.

How did you start your blog and why?

I started a blog in order to use it for the brands that I worked for instead of looking for a blogger or trying to convince one to write about my customer’s brand. Then it became a blog by itself. My father loves shopping and wearing good things. I have many male friends who are the same as my father. We go shopping and we spend more time in the men’s section than the women’s section. They also take advice from me.

What is your blog about?

My blog is about men’s style and fashion, but from a woman’s eye. It’s a menswear blog written by a woman. What do we –women- like in menswear? What do we prefer our boyfriend/husband wear?

What are the best and worst things about being a blogger?

Best thing is that you can write your own opinions and people read it. You create something… It’s such a good felling to get ‘likes’. I think it’s about the ego, human nature… I can’t see a bad thing…

What are the things you like most about your career?

Writing and taking photos, meeting new people all the time.

What are some of your top sources of inspiration?

Streets! I always find the street looks mesmerizing and better than the runway. It shows the person’s character and home life. I have always been a curious person. Other sources of inspiration are my friends, my father, and other blogs.

What is a typical day like?

First thing first: Coffee! I can’t wake up without a coffee! Checking my e-mails and my social media accounts, going for horse riding (show jumping) and start working. Dinner or movie or both with friends at nights. Party sometimes but not as much as I used to.  And travelling… I love travelling and I travel a lot.

What are some of your greatest accomplishments?

There were 2 times that I was in the main role creating a brand and developing them. It was like giving birth.  (I don’t have a child by the way) And my horse… I do attend show jumping competitions. I also did interviews with Kevin Costner and Rupert Everett in person.

What would be your advice to someone wanting to start a blog?

Just start and keep writing no matter if someone reads it or not. Someone will see and read it eventually. Trust the WOMM (Word of Mouth Marketing). Write the things about what you like most. Be efficient in social media. It’s a MUST in the new world. Blogging must be your life. Otherwise it fades.

What’s your philosophy of life?

Always do what makes you happy.

Tuesday Treasures: Aeveka Skincare

I have to share my new favorite skincare line with you all, Aeveka. I am a huge fan of natural, organic products. After being in the fashion business for over 10 years, I have learned about so many unhealthy chemicals that are in our garments and like Ilona states below, they are also in our products (which is even scarier). Protecting our body on the inside and out should be one of our biggest goals…now we have a solution for the skin, Aeveka. I have been using Aeveka on my skin and absolutely love it!

The face wash has a citrus smell to it that I love.

The day creme is the perfect consistency and has a nice cucumber smell.

The enzyme treatment is amazing, you feel it right away. However, don’t be alarmed by your face turning red. This is the blood coming to the surface (which means it is working)

All of the products offered from Aeveka are amazing, I would highly recommend them! To see more products go to the website.

Now we are going to get a behind the scenes look into starting this company, Ilona Landver- the owner is going to share more about it with us!

Tell us a little bit about your background:

I have been in the beauty industry for over 10 years. I started out as a massage therapist then got my esthetician license, followed by a nail technician license. I have a few more licenses under my sleeve. I am also a certified holistic health coach and certified yoga instructor. But I took everything I have learned, all my research & hard work and put it in to my main passion and focus, which is my Aeveka skincare line.

How did you start your company and why?

I struggled with acne in my teenage years and had tried many different beauty lines. I would like one product from one line, another product from another line. But I couldn’t find one natural and pure product line from which I wanted to use ALL their products.

I always told myself that I would one day create a skincare line that is beneficial, natural and effective.

At that time I also had no idea that parabens, phthalates and formaldehyde (just to name a few) are so bad for us and YES, unfortunately they can be found in most skincare lines on the market today. Knowing what I know now about the harmful effects that cheap filler ingredients have on our bodies, helped me to start my own company, Aeveka, naturally pure

What is your company about?

Aeveka is about healthy, natural and pure skin products.  Aeveka skincare is made with natural and organic ingredients. Our products are not filled with harmful, heavy oils and water but rather with real fruits and vegetables. Our pure juices and green & red teas are cold pressed in order to keep their nutritional value.

What are the best and worst things about being a business owner?

Best: I get to work for myself & be my own boss, make my own decisions, be on my own time.

Worst: work for myself & be my own boss, make my own decisions, be on my own time – it’s a double edged sword sometimes! Being your own boss is great but it comes with A LOT of responsibility and at 5pm you don’t leave your work at work. I always take my work home with me, it’s always on my mind. But in the end, being a business owner is rewarding, especially when I hear my clients say how much their skin and lives have changed for the better and how much they appreciate my Aeveka products.

What are the things you like most about your career?

I love helping people, talking one-on-one with them, finding out what they’re all about. Most of my clients have become my very good friends.

What are some of your top sources of inspiration?

My top inspiration is my dear friend Eva Kovacs, who just recently passed away from cancer. We went to esthetician school together. She was older than me so I looked up to her a lot. She was always guiding and advising me. She was definitely a big, positive influence in my life which is why I named my skincare line after her nick-name “Aeveka.”

What is a typical day like?

Work, work, work! Now that I’m expanding my business with my new skin care line Aeveka, there are so many things to take care of. I’m looking forward to hiring a great big team to help me with this amazing skin care line!

What are some of your greatest accomplishments?

My greatest accomplishment is knowing that at the end of the day, I absolutely love what I do. That I have been working for myself for over 10 years and I’m now launching my very own amazing, natural skin care line “Aeveka!”

What would be your advice to someone wanted to start a business?

My advice to someone who wants to start a business is to be prepared for a lot of hard work. But it’s absolutely worth it if you’re doing something that you love and it helps others. It’s so rewarding!

What’s your philosophy of life?

Surround yourself with positive people in your life. Because without positive/supportive influences, life is really difficult. I wouldn’t have been able to start a second business without the help of my best friends and family. They are amazing.

I also believe in living life to the fullest. You never know what the next day will bring. I was always so cautious about starting my Aeveka skincare line and that’s why I didn’t start it sooner. I had a lot of IF this and IF that happening. But if there is no risk there is no reward. So I did it!

Monday Moment’s Inside: Zerxza

Name and Blog Name:

I’m Epp-Maria and my blog is called Zerxza (or Zerxzastyle ,  that would be the blog’s address:

Tell us a little bit about your background:

I’m a 20-year-old fashion lover and I grew up in Estonia that is a little country in Northern-Europe. My childhood has been one big bumpy ride – I grew up with my grandparents that were very controlling and old-fashioned so I was kept away from everything trendy, I couldn’t wear skirts/dresses, high heels, make-up, revealing tops, pretty much nothing. Deep down however I always loved fashion and envied the girls who could wear heels and make-up .. when I moved away from home after high school I finally got the chance to express myself and be the way I am – no more holding back! Also I met my boyfriend in high school and he has changed me a lot more confident about the way I am. Thanks to him I’m much more certain about what I do and I have to thank him for being the way I am right now!

How did you start your blog and why?

I’ve always loved blogging and writing down my thoughts – as a child I used to have diaries all the time or I just wrote short stories in the notebooks. When I got older and had a computer I blogged about my personal life but then due to life changes I stopped that. After moving away from home and being able to be free in terms of my appearance, the blog was kind of a “natural” thing to move to – somehow one day my boyfriend told me he’d like to take pictures of my outfit and there it started. We had no idea what we were doing but finding a reason and possibility to share my views in fashion was a big deal for me!

What is your bog about?

Let’s say my blog has a little bit of everything in it – it has been focused mainly on my personal style that I hope people find somewhat inspiring but besides that I’m trying to concentrate more on the fashion journalism part and write about different trends about my blog: like what’s in this season, what are celebs wearing etc. One popular section that is rather new in my blog is “Fashion rant” that means I write about some controversial trends in my blog from this funny/sarcastic perspective. People love to read articles that aren’t sugar-coated!

What are the best and worst things about being a blogger?

Thanks to the blog I’ve got some great possibilities. First of all, what’s the biggest plus in blogging for me is the confidence and energy-boost it gives! If you are tired and don’t want to go out but you know there are people who want to read your articles and see updates from you, you just have to push yourself – blogging means you won’t have those sloth-moments and you are always motivated to keep going. Also, seeing pretty pictures taken of you, you just can’t help but feel very good about you! Now on the business side thanks to blogging I’ve met some great people and that is only priceless. But on the worst side I can’t really say there is anything. Yes of course there are negative/hurtful comments but it just makes you stronger as a person and I wouldn’t say it’s that worse. If you make it a positive experience, there is nothing bad that can happen!

What are the things you like most about your career?

I’m not that sure I can call blogging a career right now because I still need a day job to “pay the bills”. However, I definitely hope one day it will be a genuine career because the thrill blogging gives is amazing – the shooting, the events, the people – it’s all once-in-a-lifetime feeling!

What are some of your top sources of inspiration?

I always love to say that inspiration is everywhere – you can find inspiration from the streets, from the surrounding you have (like seeing a very beautiful park and wanting to take pictures exactly there), but of course brands and other bloggers are a great influence. So overall I just like to keep my eyes opened in case a flash of inspiration passes by 😉

What is a typical day like?

All days are rather different but the most common one starts with morning coffee and a little breakfast that is sided by scrolling through my blogroll – I want to keep an eye on what’s going on in blogging world, what are other bloggers up to and what’s going on in fashion overall! Then we’re usually off to the city for some meetings (if we have any on that day) and then going to prepare the post by taking the photos for articles. In the evening I finish the post by editing pictures etc. It can all vary a lot but these are the basics of my days!

What are some of your greatest accomplishments?

I wouldn’t say I have particular accomplishments since I’m still really growing my blog – it’s rather young and I try to be active with writing nice, informative articles. However, for me a great thing was achieving over 500 fans very rapidly and having some brands collaborating already. I only hope to grow it bigger every day!

What would be your advice to someone wanting to start a blog?

I’d say go for it! The only thing that can stop you is yourself by setting boundaries but if once you step out of those borders, you’ll be able to do great things! Blogging needs passion and commitment because it’s no secret blogging will become your life! It can consume your days like you can’t imagine so you have to be ready for that challenge. If you have the passion and thrive towards something, then just go for it J Everything else will come on the way!

What’s your philosophy of life?

My philosophy, if so called, is a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson : “Wins the one who believes in winning”. If you believe in achieving something or if you simply believe in yourself, everything can become real! Be bold, be confident and smile!
